What is 'Retro-Soft' ?? Well its not what it started out to be , but has grown into something much bigger , and more special !! Starting out with a commission to license a few retro games for a special project which unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control never happened , it has grown , and blossomed unto the company 'Alten8' , which now publishes retro titles , under the 'Retro-Soft' brand , and all new games under the Alten8 brand. Formats currently cover PC , Phone , Palm , Pocket PC , GBA , DS and soon Wii , with many others under consideration. Retro is not just retro , its here and now , as good games never die , they just evolve !! That's what 'Retro-Soft' and Alten8 is all about , bringing the spirit and passion that once lived in the games industry , which we now class as retro , and making it happen right here , right now !

Retro-Soft are going to bring you brand new retro games and some re-releases of classic computer retro games for a range of vintage computers and also new formats to include:

We have various very exciting projects we cannot yet disclose , but we intend to change the retro game scene forever with innovation , and yet retain the original spirit of the retro games !

Well after nearly a year of waiting and frustration we have finally decided to not allow the delays of other companies hold us back , we are now bringing out a range of retro game compilations , and also brand new retro and current titles this Winter 2006. We have distribution deals in place in the UK and other countries world-wide , so expect to see the games in high street shops near you very soon , both in the high street and major online retailers , plus of course through our own online store www.retrotrader.com , make sure you slip over to the www.alten8.com forum as well for chat and updates (for example news on the latest CD releases and new retro games Jonathan Cauldwell's latest - GameX )  , as well as the main company site www.alten8.com !!
